Fuel Resistance
JUST
COMPLETED: extensive research into Biodiesel and the
effects of this growing fuel on fluorocarbon sealing
compounds. More information and a complete report can be
obtained by contacting
our Materials Engineering director.
Excess swell in fuels can translate into reduced
performance and/or seal life. Precix understands this and has
developed a range of products that swell less and seal better.
An example of this is our F86 GF-based High-Fluorine
Fluorocarbon (second from the left on the below graph). The
swell numbers exhibited by F86 are up to 33 times better than
conventional fluorocarbons. Contact
Precix Materials Engineering to learn more.
